Pluck Yourself Out Of It
Scripture: Jeremiah 1:10
“See, today I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms to pluck up and to break down, to destroy, and to overthrow, to build, and to plant.”
Testify:
Lately, I’ve found myself in a funk, lacking motivation and feeling overwhelmed. This funk has paralyzed me from moving in an upward direction and causes this stuck feeling. The overwhelmed part becomes a lot for me as I attempt to motivate myself to move forward. As I take the first step, I am immediately bombarded with anxiety, worry and fear. I sometimes pause and ask myself what’s wrong with me. I stare, I wonder and ponder. Then I ask God what he thinks of the situation that I’m in. God was probably standing there all along waiting on me to tag him in, waiting on me to ask him the right question. I finally do and just like the good father that he is, he provides me with his word, Jeremiah 1:10.
Edify:
As I read Jeremiah 1:10, it reveals to me that God is urging me to “pluck up” the things that are holding me back. This scripture serves as a powerful reminder to keep my faith strong and maintain a close connection with God. He reminds me that if I take the initiative to uproot what’s not serving me, He will support me in my journey toward growth and renewal. This verse emphasizes the duality of destruction and creation in our spiritual journey. God doesn’t just call us to tear down; He also empowers us to build and plant anew. It’s a reminder that the process of renewal often requires us to confront and eliminate what’s not beneficial in our lives. By embracing both aspects, we can experience profound transformation. God has given us authority and responsibility over our lives, urging us to take active steps in our spiritual growth. God told me to pluck myself out of it. Pull up those things that are not needed. Plant some new things.
Apply:
How do you apply this scripture? Identify, reflect, pray for strength, take action, stay connected, build and plant. By actively engaging in these steps, you can shift from feeling stuck to experiencing a renewed sense of purpose and connection with God. Trust that He is with you, helping you to uproot the old and plant the seeds for a flourishing future.
