He Will Answer You
Scripture: Jeremiah 33:3
"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
Testify:
Have you ever found yourself in deep thought, or noticed something isn’t quite right, but you can't put your finger on it? Maybe something is simply off, and you know it—but, to make life more comfortable, you just overlook all the feelings and signs. Sometimes you may even think and feel, “Oh, I am bugging.” This can happen in a relationship of any kind—a friendship, a job, in church, relocation of residency, in our health, or investing in a big purchase.
We, as children of God, should not inherit that instantaneous, split-second, rapid spirit, because we might be missing something; there can be more to what you are “pulling up” on. Patience is a virtue.
Edify:
Jeremiah 33:3 teaches us that, through heartache, trials, tribulations, uncertainty, destruction, and despair, God is always right there. God desires a relationship with His people, revealed through powerful, unsearchable things He reveals and shows us when we call upon Him. When Jeremiah was in prison in Jerusalem, God gave him a direct order: to call upon Him, and He will answer. God told Jeremiah that He was going to show him great and mighty things that he didn't even know. Just like Jeremiah, sitting in prison with his mind wandering every which way, this passage encourages us—even in difficult, unsure times—that He is present and willing to provide solutions and guidance. We just have to call out to Him and trust that He will reveal His plans and wisdom in His time.
Apply:
1 Corinthians 13:11 speaks about the natural progression of maturity and the process of shedding childish ways and behaviors as we grow up. An old gospel hymn tells us to build our hopes on things eternal and then hold—hold to God's unchanging hands. Allow God the ability to direct your path; you will never go astray.
