Scripture: Philippians 2: 12-13 KJV

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Testify:

I have friends from childhood, and we were close over 30-40 years, well Jesus happened to me and when he happened, he changed me.  My friends often tell me, oh Jesus will forgive you if you do this or that, Jesus turned water into wine as they wrongfully quote scripture, or you’re to saved for me. How am I too saved? Because of these statements, I always ask a lot of questions before I agree to go anywhere with them because I can get caught up in old thoughts and start reminiscing. I quickly snap out of it and remember God; you allowed me to still be here as your example. I’ve also concluded that it’s ok to let people go, sometimes you can outgrow each other, or they can interfere with where God wants you to go.  Realizing that some people can’t go where you’re going.   Therefore, I made my decision, my salvation is a priority and necessary to be able to survive and I pray that they one day will do the same.

Edify:

In this scripture God is stretching us to not only live for him in church but also outside in the open.   When you’re at work, or when they mess up your order.   WORK OUT your salvation and build yourself up through faith in the Most High God knowing that you will begin to see the change in time as you follow Him.   Know that things are not going to be perfect, but your walk is designed for your purpose, God already did the biggest part for us by taken back the keys from Satan! Follow Jesus, He will show you how to avoid those things that hinder you and provide a way of escape.

Apply:

In this walk it’s imperative to have faith in every word spoken in the Bible. I know there’s nothing wrong with hanging out with family or friends that aren’t saved but remember to let your light shine, so it draws them to Christ. If your spirit speaks to you not to go or do something listen, it will save you from a lot of heartache and starting over. Ephesians 6:10-11 says Stand strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Power, put on the Whole Armor of God so you will be able to stand against the strategies of the devil.  WORK OUT!!!!
