Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching".
Testify:
Life can be complicated and unseemly unfair. Periods of depression, strained relationships, family dysfunction, dead-end jobs addictive vices, spiritual dryness, emotional struggles, financial hardships but ultimately, they all end with the same result. Let’s be honest we don’t always cope well with these things. Most of us sometimes stay in bed buried under the cover others turn to pills and other things to numb the pain. Others turn to illicit entertainment or illicit relationships to find peace of mind. Many of us try to drown ourselves in sorrows that are found in a bottle of alcohol. Rather you escape indulgence, people are trying to find a way to deal with daily agony.
Edify: Gift of Encouragement
The latter part of Hebrews 10:24-25 says not to give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day approaching. This message is especially relevant for us. At Teatime, we come together to provide encouragement as we navigate the ups and downs of life. Some days may feel like we are on top of a mountain, while other days can feel like we are stuck in a long, dark valley. Teatime serves as a reminder that, although life can sometimes feel chaotic, we are here to help each other realize that despite the challenges we face, we can still live our best lives.
