Scripture: Isaiah 55:7 TPT
“The wicked need to abandon their ways, and sinful ones need to banish every evil thought. Let them return to Yahweh, and they will experience his compassionate mercy. Yes, let them return to God, for he will lavish forgiveness upon them.”
Testify:
I am 21 years old and there’s not many people my age, young men or women who are following a Godly path. When I changed some of my ways for the better, I lost a lot of friends. I now realize that they may have not been my friends at all. I had way more of them when I was into worldly things. I am still in a season where I’m fighting to get away from sinful things and into Godly things. I struggle to find people who are striving to be better or that are moving in the same direction as me. Honestly, it is easier being worldly for those reasons, but I realize that the sacrifice that I am making now will produce less worry, less fear, and no drama. Though I may sometimes feel alone, I realize that I am never alone.
Edify:
Sometimes in order to grow spiritually we have to remove things that may be causing a distraction in our season of growth. Our distractions which don’t always have to be people, can be our thoughts or the activities we take partake in. This may be the reason we may have difficulties getting where we want to be. The scripture says that the wicked and the sinful have to give up their evil ways and their bad thoughts. Don’t stop there, after you have given up these things up, turn back to God. When we let these things go, he will send us revival. He can revive our friend groups, our job and our situations. I’m going from abandoned to revived.
Apply:
Is anybody else going through a transition period? The period where you are thriving to be better, and you seem to continually lose things that you thought where important to you. If you are, you’re in the right place. Continue to turn to God and watch him transition you.
