Scripture: Psalms 85:6 KJV
Wilt thou not revive us again That thy people may rejoice in thee? (KJV)
Testify:
God is great and greatly to be praised. I thank God for he a merciful and forgiving God. There was a time in my life when I was going through a lot. I was hurt, broken, and had strayed away from the church and everything associated with it. I failed to remember that things that he had brought me through before, because I was so wrapped up with what I thought he didn’t do. Just before I reached my breaking point, I cried out to God, he heard me, revived me and accepted me back into his fold with arms wide open.
Edify:
The children of Isreal were God’s chosen people, but they often got amnesia. They strayed away from God, and they were quick to find something or somebody else to worship. In the beginning of the scripture, they walk down memory lane telling God what they remembered what he did for them before. When it comes to verse 6, they ask Him for a redo. Won’t you do it again? Won’t you heal me again? Won’t you revive me again? Whenever they cried out and sought after God, he showed them mercy, forgave them and revived them. If you are broken, feeling alone and don’t know which way to turn, you don’t have to wander any more, you can turn to the God. The same way God heard the children of Isreal and revived them; he will do the same for you. God is standing with his arms wide open ready to receive and restore you back to your worth.
Apply:
You don’t have to walk around in defeat, seek after God and watch him revive and restore you back to the woman you were called to be in him.
