Scripture:  Hosea 6:2

“After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.”

Testify:

Oftentimes, we turn our backs on God, yet He is always there to correct and guide His children. He is such a merciful and loving Father. I am truly grateful every day for His faithfulness, He never leaves me where I’m at, nor does He forsake me. Even when I stumble, He is right there to catch me. So many times, in life I’ve fallen, yet He has picked me up again and again, molding me back together.

After seasons of brokenness, God stands ready to restore me. He revives my heart, draws me back into His presence, and fills me with renewed purpose and life. Thank you, Jesus, for your boundless grace and for never giving up on me!

Edify:

The context of this scripture is a promise of restoration and renewal. Hosea was a prophet God raised up to deliver a message of both judgment and hope to the people of Israel. Though they had turned away from God, Hosea proclaimed that restoration and redemption were still possible—if the people would sincerely return to Him.  The reference to “two days” and “on the third day” symbolizes a spiritual awakening within God’s divine timeline. This is significant because God's timing often differs from our own expectations. We may look for immediate results, but God’s work in our lives unfolds according to His perfect plan. In this way, the verse encourages us to trust in God's timing and remain patient as we wait for His healing and deliverance.

The phrase “live in His sight” reveals the deeply personal nature of God's care for His people. It speaks to an intimate relationship a life lived close to His heart, under His protection, favor, and guidance. To live in God’s sight is to walk in the fullness of His presence. The truth is, while we all long for God's grace and provision, we often choose to go our own way. We chase our own desires, thinking we know best. Yet even in our wandering, God stands ready, always willing to revive and restore us when we return to Him with sincerity and humility. This verse continues to inspire hope because it reminds us of God's unwavering love and His power to restore what was broken. No matter how far we’ve strayed, He is faithful. His desire is not just to forgive, but to breathe new life into us and draw us back into deep fellowship with Him.

Apply:

Ladies, remember that God’s discipline leads to repentance. He desires real, lasting change not just words, but true transformation that can be seen in our actions. Repentance isn’t a simple apology or acknowledgment of wrongdoing; it’s a shift in our heart and mind that produces fruit in the way we live. God doesn’t just want us to confess our sins, He wants us to turn away from them and walk in the newness of life He has for us.  So, let’s not resist His discipline or avoid the transformation He’s trying to bring about. Instead, let’s embrace it, knowing that He is shaping us into the women He has called us to be. A woman who is not just saying the right things, but living them out in every area of life. This is how we reflect His grace through genuine, lasting change.
