TeaTime Devotional May 8th, 2025

Scripture: Joel 2:28-29 NLT

Then, after doing all of those things, I will pour out my spirit upon all people.   Your sons and daughters will prophecy.  Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.   In those days I will pour out my spirit even on servants- men and women alike.  

Testify:

There was a time when I was a backslider and said I’m gonna do me and be who I want to be!!! Because I grew up in church and once had a relationship with God, I was never at peace walking in my mess.  During Covid I had a reality check.  While driving on the highway (I felt something uneasy going on in the atmosphere, but I couldn’t tell you what it was) and all of a sudden, I WAS SHOT IN THE STOMACH!!! Not ready to die I began to surrender myself back to God with a vengeance immediately.  I understood that He showed me the warning as I witnessed a darkness with a weird feeling around me, as well as protected me and let me live to tell it when I get the chance. Even as a full time sinner Jesus forgave me and let me know He’s still calling my name and I’ve been running for him ever since.

Edify:

The scripture says that in the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.  He does not leave out anyone.   This pour is inclusive of sons and daughter, old men and young men, servant women and mothers.    I believe that he poured his spirit on me that day.   He provided that still small voice that comes in my time of need to help me.   I believe he is still pouring out on us to allow us to help others. God deals with us in different ways, and we need to have an ear to hear the call. Through life’s ups and downs there is always a ram in the bush, words of wisdom and even direct words from God to us, instructing us on what’s needed to be done. Take the time to come boldly to the throne of Grace when God calls you and receive the pour. 

Apply:

When you’re going through things in life, no matter how hard, or how dark the night may be. Stop! Listen! Take Heed! Don’t Go out the Will of God! Let him pour out his spirit on you!   AMEN🙏🏽🙌🏽
