Get Ready For Greater

Scripture: John 14:12 NKJV

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 

Testify:

My aunt shared a story with me about one of my cousins who was born blind. Her parents brought her to our grandmother, who has a strong faith and believes in the power of prayer. My grandmother anointed my cousin’s eyes and prayed for her. God healed my cousin.

I wonder, are there any people being healed like this? I am thankful for a family that stands on the word of God because it helped shape my faith and let me know standing on the word of God will give you a strong foundation.

Edify:

In this chapter, Jesus reveals to His disciples that the Father dwells in them, and the only way to the Father is through Him. He reassures them that he who believes in Me, and the work that I do—greater works will we do. Therefore, we who are believers should be doing more than Jesus did on earth.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we have the ability to lay hands on the sick and cast out devils, just as Jesus did when He was on earth. Just like there were doubters back in the Bible days regarding Jesus’ power, there are individuals today who doubt a believer’s ability to lay hands. So, to witness the healing of the sick and the casting out of devils in this day and time will have a greater impact on earth, because Jesus is no longer walking with us in the flesh but is dwelling within us through His Spirit.
