Who Do You Say I AM
Scripture: Matthew 16: 15
And He (JESUS) said unto them, whom do ye say that I Am?
Testify
A lot of times, I listen to the Word at work because it helps me remain attentive to my surroundings. As I listened to this scripture, God allowed me to hear more than just the words: “Who do you say that I am?” I know I’m not the only one who has taken on the sayings of others that we’ve heard year after year—Jesus is my Savior, Healer, Way Maker, Doctor, Lawyer, and more. But when you actually know who Jesus is for yourself, one thought can change your heart from sadness to thanksgiving, and your praise becomes more intense than it was before.
When you say, “Lord, you are my everything. I would’ve been dead in my sins if you didn’t snatch me out!”—this feeling of gratitude gives you the answer to His question. I know who you are, and once you know who He is, you watch the words that come out of your mouth, because He didn’t give you the punishment you deserved.
Edify:
Following this scripture, Matthew 16:17, Jesus let His disciple know that only God could reveal this to him, and that He would build His church upon that Rock—and the gates of Hell would NOT prevail against it! I got so excited. Verse 19 says: we will receive the KEYS to the Kingdom, and whatsoever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatsoever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven! Use your keys! God lets us know we don’t have to stay in any situation that’s not from Him. Speak yourself out of your current situation. Use your key and praise your way out of your circumstance. Your problems are subject to your Way Maker and Deliverer.

As we go through life, we will have good and bad days and will be hot and cold. Please never allow yourself to be lukewarm. During these changes, speak scriptures until you feel it affecting the atmosphere around you. We have all the tools we need. As we bless and praise Him, rely on the scriptures—either in memory or as you read them—to change or replenish you in every way of your life as you go forth!
