Just Go!
Scripture: Exodus 4:11-12
Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak.. Is it not I, the Lord? Now go! I will be with you as you speak and I will instruct you in what to say.”
Testify:
As a child, I recall having a speech impediment—I stuttered so badly that I would almost hurt myself trying to answer a question or make a statement. It was so embarrassing and humiliating. I could see the impatience on people’s faces as they waited for me to say what I needed. Transparently, some would finish the sentence for me and walk away.
I remember going to a speech pathologist who taught me the art of overcoming my disability. She explained that my speech was not the problem; instead, it was my excitement. I had to learn how to breathe and control myself. My therapist was so calm and patient. She would never silence me but instead would tell me, “Try again.” She always wanted to hear me say that sentence or phrase I was struggling with.
Now that I have developed the ability to control my stutter, who would have thought that God Himself would use me to speak and preach His word—knowing full well that I am a fumbler of words.
Edify:
If anybody can relate to Moses, I can. I can imagine Moses’ shock when God spoke to him, telling him to go and speak up. God told him to go to his adopted brother’s house and demand that they let God’s children go. Moses was like, “What if they don’t believe me? I don’t have any power to tell anybody anything.” He probably started giving God other worthy candidates. But God instead asks Moses a question: Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether a person will speak or not? He tells Moses, “Now go! Because when you go, I’ll speak for you.”
I don’t know about you, but I am defiant in a lot of ways; yet God always goes before me and paves the way. If he can do it for me, he can do the same thing for you. Despite our shortcomings, He is still able to use us. Just go!
Apply:
I’m sure that we all have a problem that seems so loud when God is trying to use us. If this is true for you, God has a way of turning our tests into testimonies and making victims victorious. There is no shortcoming that you have that God cannot use. All you have to do is go!

Love this! It hits in so many ways!! Thank you!
If someone is not encouraged by reading this then something is wrong within themselves. This was very enlightening for me.
