Things Happen When I Speak

Scripture: Mark 11:23 (KJV)For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

TESTIFY:

At the Women Evolve Conference, I heard a song that shifted me: “I’m taking back what the enemy stole from me. In the name of Jesus, I’m breaking up every lie I once believed. The One who lives in me has all authority.”

I started singing it, but more importantly, I started believing it. Now I speak up more boldly—not just for myself, but for others. I’ve been saying the hard things, setting boundaries, praying bigger prayers, and interceding like never before. And I feel freer than I’ve ever been. Guess what? If people don’t receive what I say—if they reject my words or think I’m “doing too much”—I’ve learned to dust my feet off and keep moving. Because when I speak, I speak with a clean heart and with God’s authority backing me.

EDIFY:

God has given us the power of speech as a spiritual weapon. Our words carry authority, weight, and creative power. Speaking up isn’t just about using your voice; it’s about aligning your mouth with heaven. When we decree and declare God’s promises over our lives, they are established in the spirit. This means we have the authority to speak life over dead situations. We have the right to break off curses, lies, and limitations the enemy tries to place on us. We have the assignment to intercede for others when they can’t pray for themselves. Staying silent is not an option when God has given you the power to shift atmospheres with your words, so SPEAK UP! This scripture says when we can speak to big things—like mountains, dead things, sickness, and even our self-esteem—and it shall come to pass.

APPLY:

For so long, I didn’t realize how much speaking up was connected to my breakthrough. Looking back over my life, I can truly see the hand of God moving and one thing that got me here was prayer, declarations, and intercession. When I pray and decree things over my life, I notice a shift. But whenever I fall silent, when I stop declaring, stop praying, stop using my authority I start to feel stagnant, stuck, and disconnected. That’s why I’ve been intentional about staying in my prayer bag lately. I’ve been seeking God’s face daily, interceding for myself and others, and declaring His promises over my situation. Listen, even though everything in my life isn’t perfect right now, I have joy. I have peace. I feel connected to the Vine again. This is why we have to speak up because silence leaves room for defeat, but our words create alignment with heaven.
