Make A Joyful Noise

Scripture: Ephesians 5:19 NKJV

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Testify:

I remember growing up in church, my aunt would also sing the song “Lord I Just Want to Thank You.”  That was one of my favorite songs sung in church because I liked the beat and I would love to hear my aunt play her tambourine.

As an adult, this is still one of my favorite songs.   Now, every time I hear the song, I begin to reflect over my life.  I think about some of the tests and trials I faced, the heartbreaks I experienced and losses that I took.  After reflections, all I can say is Lord I Just Want to Thank You for being so good to me.  I realize now, if it had no been for the Lord on my side the enemy would have taken me out.

Edify:

Communicating in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, is a reminder of just how good God has been, is and will be to the children of God.  They allow us the opportunity to reflect over our lives and see all that God has brought us through and protected us from.

Communicating in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, is a way of praising and worshiping God and giving thanks for all that he has done for us.

Communicating in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs is also giving unbelievers encouragement to turn their lives around, repent and come into the Kingdom of God and allow him to be their Lord and Savior.

Apply:

Don’t be quiet, speak up, if singing is not your gift, just make a joyful noise unto the Lord, read psalms just don’t remain silent.  Someone needs to hear what’s on the inside of you.

ABOUT US

Ministry Over Religion was established in October 2021 by Tynema Highsmith and Tiwana Dennis with the intentions to present Jesus to the lost without the boundaries of religion. This virtual platform was dedicate to people from all walks of life who need an introduction to Christ. M.O.R. was birthed after the realization that the young adult population was scarce. When surveyed, it was discovered that some felt they don’t fit into the churches standards but still wanted to experience a community that would love, support and encourage them..
